Pepper Construction successfully built a 758,800-square-foot speculative industrial facility for Crow Holdings Group in Matteson, Illinois. To meet the developer's goal of breaking ground promptly, Pepper recommended an innovative approach due to the long lead times for precast exterior wall panels in this market. Instead of the traditional precast panels, we utilized a cast-on-site insulated tilt-wall panel system, which is not typically used in this area.
The completed facility features a 40-foot clear height, 100 exterior loading docks, and bays measuring 50 by 56 feet. Additionally, it includes parking for 219 cars and 212 trailers. This speculative development successfully accommodates the growing demand for industrial space, providing ample loading and parking facilities while adhering to the project's timeline and quality standards through innovative construction techniques.
