The Barrington 220 School District Master Plan consists of a $130 million project aimed at significantly enhancing learning environments and improving safety and security measures across 12 schools. The goal of the district's master plan was to upgrade outdated facilities, ensuring that students receive the best possible education as they prepare for the future.

The work at Barrington High School included a new addition, new classrooms to support next-generation learning models, cafeteria upgrades, a space dedicated to physical education and wellness, and a new student-services area for counseling, attendance and health services.
