This project at the new Learning Center in Newark, Ohio will bring Junior Achievement’s engaging programming to students in Licking County and surrounding areas. The space will feature two of JA's most popular programs, JA BizTown and JA Finance Park. Both programs combine in-class learning with a day-long visit to the Learning Center. JA BizTown allows elementary school students to participate in real-world businesses, practice life skills and understand civic responsibilities. In JA Finance Park, middle school and high school students experience personal finance in a real-life setting of stores, shops and financial institutions by taking on a new adult persona for the day. Both programs connect what students learn in school with the real world.
The project will feature distinctive building pods that will be sponsored annually by different businesses, offering an immersive, branded setting for students to "work" and learn. Pepper will be involved in drywall, framing, windows, painting and finishes.
