Located in Lake Forest, Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart is an independent, Catholic college preparatory day and boarding school for young women. Our team developed three state-of-the-art science lab/classrooms and project support spaces at the school.
The project consists of two multi-function biology/chemistry lab/classrooms, one physics lab/classrooms, two student project spaces and prep/storage spaces. Features high-efficiency mechanical units to reduce power usage and increase air quality for each of the science rooms.
Solar panels were installed on the roof of the addition to provide on-site renewable energy. These panels are monitored by computers with their performance (energy output) being displayed in the hallway for students and visitors to see. The project also includes a water efficient landscaping plan including a bio-swale.
