The Hinsdale Township High School District 86 Future Ready Facilities Initiatives includes a multi-year, multi-phase, series of extensive renovations and additions to both Central and South campuses.
Phase I work included renovations to the learning center and special education classrooms and offices, stadium upgrades, the replacement of two turf fields and new tennis courts. In addition, Pepper completed extensive mechanical and electrical upgrades throughout, ADA upgrades, life-safety improvements and approximately 70,000-square-feet of roof replacement.
Phase II work involved the demolition and re-build of the cafeteria and the fine arts classrooms. Additional bathrooms were renovated, the remaining old electrical systems were removed and replaced and the majority of the remaining roofs were also replaced. In addition, a complete demolition of their existing swimming pools were carried out to re-build new longer pools, as well as the installation of new mechanical systems.
