Pepper’s commitment goes beyond simply hiring practices and tracking percentages; we strive to contribute to the growth and development of the companies and individuals we collaborate with. We understand the challenges they face and aim to ensure that our trade partners leave each project in a better position than when they began, helping them build a brighter future.

In 2018, we held our inaugural Indiana Outreach Event at Pepper’s Indianapolis office. Six years later, we have expanded what has become an annual event to be offsite at a local veteran-owned business, Hotel Tango, where we had an impressive attendance of more than 100 participants and showcased 10 Pepper projects. What began as an avenue to expand our potential bid list and help small, diverse businesses has evolved to include mentorships, spotlight partners throughout the year, and continue relationships to make a greater impact on diverse businesses in Indiana.

Annual Indiana Outreach Event by the numbers:

  • 38% increase in attendance since 2023
  • 100% positive survey feedback
  • 95% event spend with diverse vendors
  • 10 Pepper projects featured

Mark your calendars for our next Annual Outreach Event on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at The Foxhole at Hotel Tango.

In addition to our annual outreach event, we have dedicated ourselves to hosting outreach events tailored to our projects. This year, we’re proud to report that 75% of our projects held individual outreach events. Our project teams are committed to reporting and tracking these numbers regularly, ensuring we stay focused on our continued progress. We’re also grateful for the strong partnerships we’ve built with local organizations that offer valuable workshops and training to help individuals navigate the process of registering businesses through the city and state. Together, we’re creating a supportive community where everyone can thrive.

In 2025, we plan to send quarterly newsletters to our trade partners. This initiative will help us stay at the forefront by providing relevant information on how to connect with our teams regularly. If you are a diverse trade partner, we would like to have you on our mailing list so we can keep you up to date on the latest project opportunities. Click here to register today.

Trade Partner Exchange

Our efforts to make an impact do not stop at project-related partnerships. We extend our impact by making waves within the communities where we live and work.

The leadership of past President Mike McCann established a solid foundation for transforming lives beyond just construction. Current President Dan Peddicord has continued to lead by example, prioritizing Pepper’s employees in their efforts to improve the communities in Indiana. We are excited to see where this momentum will take us in the coming year.
