To keep up with the increasingly complex demands of today’s steel users, Corey Steel needed to build a state-of-the-art manufacturing center compatible with the equipment necessary to produce Corey’s cold finished steel bars. The one-story facility totals 110,000 square feet and includes an electrical penthouse with a control room for the building’s equipment. Pepper performed extensive sitework, including new sanitary, storm and water, as well as the installation of intricate concrete pads and high electrical load to prepare the facilities for the machinery. With employees in mind, a mezzanine above the locker rooms and lunch room was added to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable work environment.
